Suppose you had created a file /program to trick or horrify your friend. And want to hide it behind innocent shortcut. So that it look like original and normal program. You if want that nobody suspect it then it is necessary to hide behind shortcut.
Recently I had shared many tricks to impress your friends. I had shared how to make virus, ultra shortcut, folders inside folder, view matrix effect, slow down pc, and ASCII movie etc. Almost of them are batch files. But problem is that your friend may be smarter than you. It is possible that he/she already knew about it.
Therefore I decided to write a post how to hide batch file behind innocent shortcut. It is possible by built in feature of windows.
You need to follow some simple steps.
STEP1 :- Right click on desktop. Select new >> shortcut. (a new popup window will appear).
STEP2 :- Click on Browse button and locate your batch file.
STEP3 :- Click on next button and give a name to your shortcut. Now hit enter.
Your shortcut is ready to use. But still it is easy to identify. This problem can be solved by using a good looking icon.
STEP4 :- Right click on shortcut and then select properties. Now click on shortcut tab which located at top of window.
STEP5 :- Now find out change icon buttonand hit it. You will see message to choose icons.
STEP6 :- Choose from default icons or click on browse button to use your own icon.
You had done. Now nobody will suspect that it is batch file.
You can also select to run in maximized or minimized window from drop down menu in front of Run label under shortcut tab.
NOTE:-
· It is not necessary to create shortcut in desktop. You can make anywhere shortcut with icon.
· This trick cannot be used for folders, picture, executable files etc.
